Carey has picked something of an odd LTW for this lost-in-time kind of town. But it's what he wants.

Carey spent all of his wishes involving Maggie Hooley just asking her out on this date, so he's on autopilot until he wishes for something interesting. In the meantime, I play CAS games with Michael McCarthy, changing his hair.
Carey does end up rolling a new wish mid-date: slumber party. So he invites Maggie back to his place, and then invites Cara Gallgher and Yasmin O'Reilly, so we can see what kind of trouble happens.
Before the other guests arrive, Carey moves the party up to his parents' bed.
Oh, whoops, it look like Jamie was in the attached bathroom.
"Excuse me, I'm just passing through on the way to make some inappropriate forum posts." Jamie politely keeps his eyes averted from the scene in his bed.
"I can't believe I broke up with Frederick Eames for you, only to find you in bed with this two-timing slut!"
Why is this bitch trash talking me? Maggie wonders.
Because, while you're in bed with Carey, you're still going steady with your boyfriend Dillon Lawless. Who happens to live in the same orphanage as Cara.
"Cara! Chill out! I thought you and Frederick got back together. You dumped me, remember?"
"Grrr! Arrgh!" Cara is not chilled out. No, not all.
Okay, yes, I did invite both girls hoping for drama, but I was also surprised, because I did get the pop up about Cara and Frederick going steady again the night after Carey asked her to break up with him. And at the same time, Carey lost his 'romantic interest' status with her. So her weird freak out, and her speech bubble (well, scream bubble) about being broken hearted about Frederick, confused me. And poor Carey.
"You brother is sleeping with both Cara and Maggie? Doesn't he care that he's getting a Naughty reputation?"
Faelan is so above his brother's drama. And that's why he's not even in the running for heir.
"Hey! That's not fair!"
Don't feel bad Faelan, being a spare isn't so bad. You'll get your own house and SP will no doubt marry you up with Yasmin and you'll be eternally faithful and have a bunch of kids.
At this party, we discover that Maggie Dislikes Children. Kids seem to have a sixth sense for that trait, and relentlessly harass the Sim who most wishes they would go away. Seriously, every chance he got Drustan was bothering Maggie, and he didn't once approach the other girls.
"I don't have a problem with kids," Cara points out, "Look at me, playing with this toddler. I'd be a great legacy mom."
I've never done a slumber party before, and was amused by the hamfisted way the game forced everyone into an exhausted state so they'd all drop into their sleeping bags in unison.
Even if they were en route to getting to the parents' bed for another round of woohoo. Maggie blocked access to one side of the bed, forcing Tamira to join the others on the floor in a sleeping bag when her shift at the the theater was over. I don't think the cat was forced into sleepy mode by the party controller, I think that's just a cat thing.
Also, fun fact, the plant in the upper left corner was a gift to Tamira from Michael McCarthy. He regularly sends love letters and gifts.
Yasmin wakes up at around 2am. Something spooked her.
Yes, she woke up to pass at out because of a ghost cat.
The day after the slumber party, Carey wishes to kiss Cara. First he has to apologize to her. Once he gets that out of the way, she is once again ready for romance.
Interestingly, she is listed as having no partner now. I never got any notification that she and Frederick had broken up again, but they must have. She doesn't seem all that broken up about it now.
The kiss returns them back to romantic interest status, and restores he Naughty reputation Carey lost when she dumped him to get back with Frederick.
Well, if you're going to be saddled with a Naughty rep, you might as well embrace it...
After woohooing with Carey, Cara goes out to the greenhouse to try flirting with Faelan.
"Let's see, I have a steady girlfriend and a spotless reputation. You just got out of bed with my brother..."
"So, yeah, not touching your filthy flowers."
"Hey, have you heard that my brother is sleeping with two different girls?"
Yeah, I think he's heard that rumor, Faelan.
Captain Oblivious stares out the window while his wife flirts with her work buddy.
Oooh, maybe he's not as oblivious as it seemed...
Despite his ominous thoughtbubble, Jamie just goes over to have a friendly chat with Michael. Tamira takes this opportunity to unload another cat on a neighbor,and Miracle joins the McCarthy family, leaving this household with three cats.
Tamsyn becomes a child. She got Easily Impressed for her child trait.
And Drustan becomes a teen. He's basically Jamie with Tamira's hair and eye color. As a child, he rolled the LTW to become a Superstar Athlete, so he got the Athletic trait for his teen birthday.
Except for one wish to send a love letter to Maggie, Carey's romantic wishes are trending toward Cara a lot more. He rolled a wish for a date with her, so he invites her to the fall festival after school.
And, lo, the celestial trumpets announce the upcoming prom. Carey chooses Cara for his date, and she enthusiastically agrees to go with him.
Switching back to the homefront, Drustan rolled a wish to become friends with and learn the zodiac sign of babysitter Krystal Street. He quickly learns that they share the Athletic trait.
She's a Gemini, just like he is. Clearly, their love is meant to be. Drustan decides he wants to ask her to watch the stars with him, and ask her to the prom.
Quick check on Carey's date...um...what did you do to her?
"Mmm, you taste like pie."
Oh, right, pie eating contest face. Carry on.
Drustan gets both his wishes, asking Krystal to the prom and watching the stars.

After Tamsyn aged up, I converted the nursery to a play room type deal.
This is the ground floor. Kitchen/dining and living area, plus the former nursery. And one bathroom.
Next level has the master suite, office and Drustan's room and another bathroom. After the last of Tamira's small pets died, I got rid of the terrariums/cages. The small rug on the corner of the office is where I usually stash the dragon, but someone ad him in inventory when I took this pic. I moved the laundry to this floor, it used to be in the kitchen.
Top floor: Tamsyn has the largest bedroom with en suite bath. Faelan and Carey share a smaller room and the second bathroom. Faelan will be aging up and moving out shortly.
I'm pretty sure Carey will be heir at this point, but that is subject to change. I can't pass the torch until Tamira reaches the top of her career (her new LTW). She's currently at level 8. So, the younger siblings still have a chance to win me over. Both Tamira and Jamie have reached Adult age. Jamie got a midlife crisis, but Tamira did not. So, no drastic midlife wishes for her.
Please keep Carey as heir, I can see him having a whole harem going by the time he's YA, and that would just be so entertaining. Especially as we'd all be on the edge of our seats wondering who he'd end up with eventually! (Complete opposite to his aunt Sitara!)

Carey is heavily favored for heir at this point. Drustan has no chance really, having settled for a boring girlfriend right out of the gate. I mean she has normal hair and skin colors, and regular round ears. How dull! lol.

I'm very much planning to give Carey Flirty for his YA trait, since he's pretty much living that one already.
I was kind of hoping Tamira would get a midlife crisis and wish to flirt with someone else so I could get her with McCarthy. But I was also dreading it since I don't want her to break up with Jamie either. I've saved Michael to my bin, so maybe I can use him in Summerdream somewhere, lol.
Oh, Tania would like that, someone who she can get a baby from, maybe, lol. Oh, gawd...no.
They show up to the slumber party in PJs, and then at around 11 they are forced to sleep in sleeping bags (they bring their own). Other than that, they danced to the stereo (which was a gift from you, btw, Thank you.) Carey wished to order pizza, so I did that, but only he ate it. So, yeah, not very exciting. Everyone gets up and leaves early in the morning.
Cara's hair reminds me of cotton candy. LOL what was that babysitter wearing? A winter hat with shorts? ROFL. Love the wallpaper in the playroom. Drustan is hot too. Omg, pie eating face always makes me think of murder, LMAO. The Dislikes Children trait is a vicious cycle cause the child never stops harassing the Sim who has it, causing the Sim to dislike children even more. ROFL.

I know, by the end of that slumber party, I was disliking children heavily because Drustan would not leave Maggie alone.

Yeah, I just recently noticed the matchiness of Carey and Cara's names. Unlike the Jillyan & Julian, that one was not my fault. I named Carey, but Cara was named by EA. My husband's name does not have an M in it, lol.
DeleteI did want some drama from that slumber party, but I was surprised by Cara's jealous reaction, since she was not officially a romantic interest of Carey's at that point. Still, it worked, and Carey ended he night wishing to kiss her.
It would be nice if he'd continue stringing Maggie along a little longer, but his wishes for her have dried up lately. I'm hoping that if I give him Flirty for his YA trait, things pick up.
Tamsyn is cute, but the combination of Jamie's hair and Tamira's skin is a bit odd, to me.
Jamie is so Captain Oblivious. He doesn't react at all to his wfe flirting with another man in the same room. Contrasted to the mass freak outs that happen when anyone flirts with someone other than their spouse in my LP wishacy, well, you get the picture.
I think Faelin is cuter than Carey, but that's me. Plus, Carey is so far rolling the better wishes right?

ReplyDeleteCarey has some promise, the flirty trait should definitely help that along. Though I'm kind of glad that he *picked* Cara, I like her better than Maggie. Maggie just stood there, while Cara was all drama, drama, drama, lol :P

DeleteYou know I thought for sure my NPCs like the guy in the potion shop and Michael McCarthy were DV Sims just because of their coloring and dress. But maybe DV somehow spawn NPCs that wear the DV clothes. I mean, I didn't change their outfits at all, the appeared in shirths that matchedtheir kilts, whch would suggest they aren't random. But the potion register guy is pretty much a clone of my Farrell with green hair, and Michael McCarthy, I've been looking at him (well, yeah, I think we know thatI look at him =P, lol) and there's something kind of Auberon-esque about his features. So they'd have to be generated from my bin, right, if they resemble my Sims.
Anyway, wherever he's from, I will upload a copy for you later.
I'm really looking forward to Carey becoming a YA with the Flirty trait. He has settled down a bit with his wishes, and has focused on Cara more. She is the more exciting of the girls.
Yay! Thank you! =D I know what you mean about how the DV NPCs seem to look like they are not random. I have no idea how they did that, or why they didn't do it for other worlds, lol All I know is that I was greatly disappointed that Michael did not reside in my version of DV!
